About us
Hello everyone!
We are Christian and Miek, a couple originally from Belgium, Flanders.
We have been together since 2017, happily married since 2019, and quickly realised that we wanted to do something together. We dreamed of a B&B abroad but decided to open a gîte in Belgium first.
After three years of successfully running “Gîte Aan 't Bels lijntje”, we took the plunge. At the end of 2023, all our dreams came true and we bought a B&B with a gîte in the south of France. Every day we fall more and more in love with this beautiful region, the peaceful way of life and, of course, the delicious French cuisine!
We want to share this feeling with our guests. We want to give everyone who stays with us a fun, relaxing holiday. Discover the region with all kinds of great activities: a day at the lake, among the vineyards or exploring historic Carcassonne? It's all possible and much more... Come and experience your perfect holiday with us!

Sonnac sur l'Hers, a quiet village nestled among the hills with 120 inhabitants. Located on the border of Aude and Ariège at the foot of the Pyrenees. No stress, and if it's not today, it will be tomorrow, as you will quickly discover here! Together with the numerous activities and sights in the region, this is the perfect balance between entertainment and relaxation.
Our three B&B rooms and gîte for two to six people overlook the charming village square. We want our guests to experience authentic French style from the last century with all the comforts of this century! ;)
Entertainment is also guaranteed in our games room with billiards and darts.
Are you travelling with a large group, e.g. cycling friends and/or motorcycling friends? A large secure garage is available. B&B rooms and/or Gîte can be booked together (max. 14 persons). Send us a request with the number of people and the desired period!
